FIRST BLOOD Nameless Fear and Silent Summoner 1988 - 89

There's no excuse for the lack of updates, just sheer laziness. Brew & I have done a whole bunch of tape ripping, though, so there's still more content to come. Some oldschool British Thrash with some non-metal stuffs inamongst it all.

I'm not sure how to sell you this with words, but you're not buying anything so just download while you're reading. First Blood are consistently awesome across both these demos. Everything you want from awesome Thrash is here and awesome - Riffs! Solos! Six minutes songs! Engrish! Well, not quite...the chorus of None So Blind from Silent Summoner used to throw me when I was listening to it off A Taste of Armageddon. Slightly awkward lyrics and delivery, but it grows on you and None So Blind is probably the strongest song here. Brew and I were talking about the new vocalist on that latter demo - tunelessness doesn't matter for a Thrash singer if he can belt a song and make it darker and uglier than it would've been. That means we both like him. Y'all buy Slayer albums en masse anyway so you know what I'm talking about.

There are also lots of extra songs about poo. Enjoy.

  1. Nice to see someone is still listening to these two demos. This was my band way back (I'm the drummer). We had a live cassette that we used to sell as well. Maybe I'll rip it and send it to you sometime.

  2. That'd be great. Does it just have songs from these demos, or were there some more originals you guys didn't have time to record? Thanks for getting in touch.
